The build-your-own pizza craze continues to grow across Orange County with the addition of Blast 825 and Pizza Studio.
In the past year a handful of the assembly-line pizza concepts have popped up in the region, including Blaze Pizza, Pizza Studio, Pielogy, Pizza Press and 800 Degrees Pizza.
Here are the latest customizable pizza joints looking to draw in pie lovers:
Blast 825°: This quick-fire pizza restaurant opened March 11 in Huntington Beach.
Customers choose their dough, sauce and toppings and then watch their pizza cook in 825° heat brick ovens. The 10 inch, $8.45 pizzas, take three minutes to cook.
Blast 825° has eight California locations, including the Huntington Beach eatery. The company, founded in 2013, is a division of Fresno-based Milano Restaurants International Corp.
Beer and wine are also offered at the restaurant.
Address: 18541 Beach Blvd.
Pizza Studio: The location will open in Lake Forest in April. There is already a Pizza Studio in Bunea Park.
Like Blast 825°, Pizza Studio guests can also build their own pizzas selecting crusts and toppings. The 11 inch, $7.99 Pizza Studio pizzas are ready in two minutes.
The Lake Forest location will also display local artwork.
Los Angeles-based pizza studio was founded in 2013. There are currently stores in Alaska, Arizona, Minnesota, New York, Kansas, Maryland, Washington DC, Utah and California.
The store will be located at 23646 Rockfield Blvd., #605.
